Primary Purpose
Coordinates elements of the SI HSS Security program, including the security procedures, security infrastructure implementation and maintenance, emergency response protocols, security incidents reporting, and maintenance process. Assists the US Security manager in supervising the security implementation and development of the security management program and intelligence generation and analysis. Provides coordination and guidance to security personnel and contractors and maintains SI Security's records. Coordinates activities with appropriate SI management and staff, public agencies, and contractors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administers and coordinates actions related to the SI security infrastructure program.
- Administers and maintains the access control and badge program.
- Coordinates security activities at SI facilities or company’s-controlled/sponsored events.
- Supports SI US Security manager and SI US HSS senior management as required in the development and implementation of the security program/strategy.
- Provides administrative and advisory support to physical security, emergency procedures, and personal protection plans, programs, and criteria to respond to security conditions and incidents, and minimize the risk of personal, physical, or financial harm to SI operations and assets.
- Coordinates and supports security awareness, education, and orientation programs for SI staff, as directed.
- Participates in investigations, interviews, and/or assessments as they relate to potential workplace violence events.
- Conducts, and manages security and emergency response exercises with federal, state, and local agencies.
- Manages and evaluates the performance of assigned security personnel and/or contractors.
- As required, represents SI Security at meetings and consultations with SI management, staff, contractors, governmental security agencies, and industry associates.
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma/GED
- 8+ Law Enforcement or Military Experience or Supervisory Role in the Private Security Sector or other related.
- This position may require nonstandard working hours to cover the security operation’s needs.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Possess extensive experience in developing and implementing best security practices.
- Possess leadership abilities to maintain a positive team environment, manage and influence team performance including mentoring.
- Possess knowledge of operating security and emergency response programs.
- Possess analytical thinking and the ability to utilize concise data and information while working through problems and implementing solutions.
- Skill in verbal and written communication with peers, management, government officials, senior management, contractors.
- Ability to understand the complexities and risks associated with operating access control systems and make necessary strategic/tactical decisions to resolve system issues safely and reliably.
- Possess extensive knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PPT, Visio to convey information with clarity through presentations and reports.
- Capable of obtaining security clearances as may be required for access to government classified information.
- Demonstrated skill in developing and managing risk/threat-based security programs requiring the employment of recognized security measures, procedures, and techniques.
- Current knowledge of physical security principles, procedures, systems, and equipment applicable to protect facilities, assets, travel, and business operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security, Security Management, or Emergency Response, or relevant discipline or equivalent law enforcement or military experience.
