Tilly is looking for dedicated, compassionate professionals to provide in-school instruction, care, and supervision for both general education & special education students. Under the direction of a special education teacher, you will perform a variety of duties related to the instruction and care of special needs students in your assigned school. Working with students individually or in small groups, you will ensure that students meet their specific instructional and health-related goals in a safe, nurturing classroom environment.

Duties:
- Assist the teacher and school staff in implementing curriculum and lesson plans
- Provide support in behavior management and classroom management
- Provide care and supervision for toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Support literacy education through reading activities and language development exercises
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a safe and nurturing environment for children
Skills / Requirements:
- Valid Paraprofessional certification/license (would be a plus)
- 2 years of post secondary studies or Associate degree would be a plus
- Experience working with children, preferably in a daycare or educational setting
- Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with curriculum development for early childhood education
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Knowledge of toddler care and preschool teaching methods
- Proficiency in literacy education, including reading instruction and language development
- Understanding of childhood development milestones and appropriate activities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
