Job Description:
Alliance Ground International (AGI) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual for the position of East Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Regional Manager. This role is responsible for managing the maintenance and operational efficiency of GSE across multiple airport locations in the eastern region. The successful candidate will ensure that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency, while leading a team of maintenance professionals.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to GSE maintenance teams across multiple airport locations within the eastern region.
- Set performance goals and objectives for each location and ensure alignment with company standards and operational objectives.
- Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the regional GSE teams.
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a diverse fleet of ground support equipment, including baggage carts, ground power units, and aircraft tugs.
- Develop and implement standardized maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Resource Management:
- Optimize resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet operational demands across all airport locations within the region.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure an adequate supply of spare parts and consumables for GSE maintenance activities.
- Monitor and manage operational budgets for each location, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for GSE operations within the region and monitor performance against targets.
- Generate regular reports and provide updates to senior management on the status of GSE operations, maintenance activities, and performance metrics.
- Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with equipment vendors, suppliers, and service providers within the region.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure cost-effective procurement and maintenance of GSE equipment.
- Collaborate with airport authorities, airline partners, and other stakeholders to address operational challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in GSE management or a similar role, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of ground support equipment and maintenance practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Willingness to travel within the eastern region as required.
