Essential Duties & Responsibilities for Valet & Parking Attendants:
- Records information on numbered tags, places numbered tag on windshield of automobile to be parked and hands customer similar tag to be used later in locating parked automobile.
- Records time and drives automobile to parking space or points out parking space for customer’s use.
- Patrol area to prevent thefts from parked automobiles.
- Take numbered tags from customers, locate vehicles, and deliver vehicles, or provide customers with instructions for locating vehicles.
- Keep parking areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized.
- Direct motorists to parking areas or parking spaces, using hand signals or flashlights as necessary.
- Patrol parking areas to prevent vehicle damage and vehicle or property thefts.
- Greet customers and open their vehicle's doors.
- Lift, position, and remove barricades to open or close parking areas.
- Inspect vehicles to detect any damage.
- Must be able to drive automatic as well as manual transmission automobiles.
- Observes all laws, regulations and safety rules involving operating a motor vehicle.
- Must be available on call and to work overtime when necessary.
- Must be available to work all shifts as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and all levels of supervision.
- Represent well in all contacts. Works as a team member. Always maintains cultural sensitivity.
- Must be able to concentrate in an intense, fast-paced environment with numerous distractions.
- Other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisors.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements for Valet & Parking Attendants:
Qualified individual must be able to regularly pull, push, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Some positions are regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger and/or handle, talk and hear. The following may also be required:
- Reaching with hands and arms.
- Ability to work in outside weather conditions.
- Ability to work in smoking environment.
- Must have acceptable hearing levels and be able to wear radio earphones, to properly monitor radio transmissions.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be a U.S. citizen or be able to provide proof of legal right to work in the United States
- Must agree to a criminal background investigation, and possibly a credit bureau and reference verification
- Must be willing to submit to drug screening and possibly a medical examination
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid California driver license for a minimum of 5 years
- Must provide a current H-6 printout from the department of motor vehicles (DMV) within the past 30 days
- No D.U.I. (Driving Under the Influence) convictions
- No “2 point” incidents on DMV H-6 within the past 5 years
- Must not have any physical or mental condition that will prevent you from performing the duties for the position you are applying for
- Must follow all company rules and regulations
- Must always be well groomed, neat, and in company dress code/uniform whenever reporting to work

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
