Title: Member Support Coordinator

AmeriCorps Student Success Program Mission: The AmeriCorps Student Success Program (SSP) provides caring mentors in schools to help students increase engagement and discover their strengths. To do this, AmeriCorps members work 1:1 with a caseload of students to help them increase attendance, improve academic abilities, ensure basic needs are met, and support social/emotional growth. They also provide AmeriCorps members with excellent training and support as they gain marketable skills and experience and prepare for a lifetime of meaningful contributions.

Summary of Work: The Member Support Coordinator supports AmeriCorps members and site supervisors in Student Success Programs throughout Utah. The coordinator will work with program staff to meet department objectives to help students achieve academic success, provide ongoing training and support to AmeriCorps members, improve and expand program scope and impact, and maintain program integrity and fidelity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with SSP Team to provide initial training for SSP AmeriCorps Members
- Provide overall ongoing support to 25-30 AmeriCorps Members through quarterly site visits, 1:1 monthly calls, and member coaching as needed
- Support AmeriCorps members’ completion of hours and accurate recording of timesheets
- Ensure effective implementation of the program at sites
- Manage tracking of AmeriCorps member assignment completion
- Support principals in assigned areas with their daily supervision of members
- Monitor for AmeriCorps prohibited activities or contract violations
- Oversee accurate and timely data collection from assigned AmeriCorps members
- Support recruitment and application process for other SSP service areas
- Increase awareness of AmeriCorps and the Student Success Program
- Other responsibilities as assigned

Position Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of project management experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage several multi-faceted projects simultaneously with careful attention to detail
- Associate degree or higher
- Community service experience
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- High standards of professional ethics and conduct
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated competency with cloud-based productivity tools and document management systems such as Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides
- Submit to and pass a full background check as required by AmeriCorps, process to be completed before onboarding with UWNU.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Successful completion of an AmeriCorps term
- Experience tutoring and mentoring children and youth
- Experience working in schools (with teachers, administrators, and staff)
- Experience with leading and managing teams
Location: Ogden, UT; Hybrid work options may be available. Some travel may be required.
Hours: Part-Time (20-29 hours per week) with the exact schedule to be determined based on the hire’s availability, scheduled meetings, program needs, and availability of other team members.
Compensation:
Wage: $19-$22 hourly
Benefits: Paid sick and vacation leave, 403(b) match up to 10% after 1 year of employment
