This Multi-Employer Health & Welfare Fund (the Fund) has an opening for its Collections Specialist position and will be accepting resumes for consideration. The successful candidate will work closely with the Fund’s Administrator, Assistant Administrator, and Claims Manager. Job Description
The Fund is financed through employer contributions, which are paid according to a collective bargaining agreement. Employers that are signatory to the collective bargaining agreement are required to make monthly payments to the Fund based on the number of hours their employees work in covered employment. The Collections Specialist position was established to assist the Fund identify employers that are late in submitting monthly remittance reports and contribution payments, contact delinquent employers regarding the contribution underpayment, demand payment of liquidated damages and interest resulting from the late payment of contribution payments, coordinate collection efforts with collection counsel, coordinate audits and audit collection with the Fund’s payroll compliance auditors, and ensure the Fund is receiving the correct amounts owed.
While the primary role of the Collections Specialist position relates to collections, you will also communicate with Fund participants, assist with health claim payments, and perform other duties as described below and as determined by the Fund’s Administrator. The Collections Specialist is a full-time position. The successful candidate will report directly to the Fund’s Claims Manager.
