Salary Range: Up to $40,000/9 month depending on enrollment.
Hours: Estimated combination of classes and individual instruction that is equivalent to 3 courses per semester (75% workload), exempt.

Essential Functions
The School of Music at the University of Texas at San Antonio invites applicants for a part-time, fixed term track position in voice. Responsibilities include teaching weekly individual lessons, leading a weekly studio performance seminar, providing realistic assessments of student performance, attending student juries and recitals, participating in recruiting (which includes attendance at auditions for incoming students), and teaching a diction survey course. Other duties may include teaching class voice.
Required Qualifications

Master of Music degree in Voice.

Demonstrated record of excellence teaching applied voice lessons and diction to music majors at the university level.

Teaching experience, goals, and approaches that support the growing academic community and meet the needs of students at varying levels of musical proficiency.

Ability to work collegially with School of Music faculty.
Preferred Qualifications

DMA in Voice.

Experience teaching group voice lessons or class voice.

Experience teaching vocal music from multiple genres (Western art music, musical theater, contemporary commercial music, etc.).
Functional piano skills.
