Technical Sales Engineer – Security Division
Job Duties
- Pre-sales Activities: Reaching out to new potential customers, organizations, responding to website and phone inquiries, demonstration of our services to prospective customers and discussions with them regarding the ways in which the services can be used to meet their requirements.
- Complete specification reviews.
- Design / Build Projects.
- The role of the Technical Sales Engineer is to establish and develop a relationship with the Customer’s organization with the dual objectives of ensuring Corporate Technology Solutions provides the best possible level of service and identifying areas where mutual benefits can be gained by the Customer extending the use of Corporate Technology Solutions products and services. The Technical Sales Engineer is also responsible for product specification, proposal estimates, scope of work, and customer follow-up.
- This aspect of the role will predominantly relate to a specific region (State of Arizona) but will occasionally encompass the entire Southwest Region.
- It is the responsibility of the Technical Sales Engineer to liaise with the Security Division Manager in the development of new customers.
- It is the responsibility of the Technical Sales Engineer to ensure that all the correct information, including prints and specifications for any new project are reviewed in detail.
- Support to project management and field staff as required.
- Prior to sending a proposal or request to respond to a RFP, RFQ, ITB etc. the Technical Sales Engineer will be required to review with the Security Division Manager to ensure customers, organizations, or any other contractual obligations are adhered to as well as reviews of estimated project profitability and overall design.
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience as a system estimator, designer, or sales engineer. Specific to security systems including but not limited to access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and intercom systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Experience with Blue Beam a plus)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
