General Responsibilities / Job Summary:
This position is responsible for documentation and tracking of real estate, commercial and consumer loans with a focus on collateral. Assists with exception reporting and tracking. This requires knowledge of the Loan Operations servicing functions and procedures and keeping up to date with all changes to bank policies, procedures, federal and state regulations which impact problem resolution aspects. This position may assist with special initiatives or projects; support other areas within Loan Operations as needed.
Essential Functions/Duties:

Prepares loan collateral for recording including but not limited to mortgages, UCCs, titles and brokerage accounts.

Uploads collateral information to the bank’s core processing system and verifies for accuracy.

Maintains current records of bank collateral and verifies reporting on internal generated reports such as the brokerage report and paid loan report.

Submits releases for loans that were collateralized and keeps appropriate records of related loan payoffs.

Conducts research on inbound collateral related inquiries for clients or other internal departments as needed.

Participates in exception tracking process and forwards reporting to appropriate supervisors for review.

Becomes and maintains proficiency in all LINKBANK loan related software systems including SilverLake, Loan Vantage and the Jack Henry platform.

Participates in cross-training as a backup to other positions within the department. Utilizes the principles of teamwork to make sure work is done in a timely manner.

Participates in training programs to ensure knowledge of all pertinent procedure and regulatory requirements to perform all aspects of this position in a competent manner.

Communicates effectively with immediate supervisor on all important department matters and developments. Responds to questions from internal departments and leadership.

Follows all established security and internal control procedures to protect the assets of the Bank and its customers.

Maintains proficiency in using all applicable software to this position.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Training: College degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to juggle multiple priorities with clear direction from supervisor.

Attention to detail, problem solving and the ability to be proactive.

Must partner with internal team to ensure effective compliance to Bank’s policies and procedures.

Strong computer knowledge and Windows skills required.

Involvement in community groups/events and strong networking skills.

Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Experience:
-
Loan operations experience preferred.
-
Branch, lending, and payment processing experience is an advantage.
Required Certification/Licenses:
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to all locations in the bank’s footprint as needed.

Must be able to read and comprehend sometimes complex schedules, and details to process correspondence accurately, while providing exceptional client service.

Manual dexterity for the functional operation of office equipment, computer terminal, and other office equipment.

Must have visual acuity required to work at a computer terminal.

Mobility enough to coordinate activities in the department and lifting to 50 pounds may be required.
