The position requires an entrepreneurially spirited professional to help fuel the growth of our Germfree Life Science (biopharma) product portfolio of modular and mobile cleanroom solutions, isolators, and laminar flow products. The position requires advanced knowledge and experience selling engineered products and services, ideally with an understanding of cleanroom environments.
The candidate for the position must have a strong personal network with industry stakeholders and broad advanced therapies application knowledge to effectively promote Germfree’s mobile, modular and equipment products.

Essential Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Must be adept at making an impact and building productive client relationships,
- Generate leads and build sales pipelines through strategic targeting,
- Join, participate, and attend industry associations, boards and/or committees that will further enhance your network and further build the industry brand for Germfree,
- Prospect for potential clients using various direct methods such as calling clients and face-to-face meetings, performing lunch and learns and indirect methods such as networking,
- Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge to have meaningful conversations with prospective clients,
- Report on business development (BD) activities including forecasts and BD opportunities,
- Maintain information on prospects and client interactions, documenting information into Salesforce,
- Qualify opportunities and inform others during go/no-go meetings to increase the win ratio on project pursuits,
- Provide feedback to Sales and Marketing teams on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to clients by extending company offerings,
- Serve as applications expert at trade shows and other industry events. (preferred),
- Provides application expertise and training to other departments in support of Germfree’s products and services. (preferred),
- Expert knowledge of cleanrooms, laboratories, equipment, and other controlled environments. (preferred),
- Go-to-market planning and execution, revenue generation, developing a network of client contacts, and closing deals to grow the business,
- Other reasonably related duties.
Ideal qualifications for the Director of Client Development:
- Excellent presentation and communication skills,
- Excellent organizational skills,
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds,
- Travel will be necessary to client locations. Some international travel may be required,
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral, color perception, and the ability to adjust focus,
- While performing the duties of this job it is required to stand, walk, and use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands or arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch when necessary for job activity.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related engineering or life science discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with clients in the biopharmaceutical industry with special interest in advanced therapeutic medicinal products (ATMP)
- Biopharmaceutical application knowledge
- Knowledge of clean room classifications and standards
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements
- Knowledge of bioprocessing equipment
- Understanding of 21 CFR Part 11 requirements and GAMP 5 guidelines
