Grand Avenue Preschool & Daycare is a licensed childcare center in Western Springs, seeking an Assistant Director! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education. Our mission is to be a nurturing environment for young children trusted by parents. We accomplish this by focusing on the needs of our students through age-appropriate educational activities in a fun, loving, and safe setting.
Compensation: $21-24/hr., based on experience or education
Shift: Monday – Friday, based on center needs

When you join our team as an Assistant Center Director you will:

Assist the Center Director in leading teaching staff, supporting families, and achieving enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives

Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children

Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, and state licensing authorities

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or currently working on degree completion

Previous experience working in a licensed childcare facility, managerial experience preferred or strong desire to move into a managerial role

Must possess strong curriculum and planning skills

Demonstrated understanding of the needs of families and children

Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and collaboration
