The artisan Sandwich Maker is responsible for preparing and creating our signature and delicious sandwiches with high-quality fresh ingredients and presenting it beautifully according to customer preferences and company standards. This role requires attention to detail, culinary skills, and a passion for creating satisfying meals for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Sandwich Preparation:
- Prepare sandwiches according to recipes and customer specifications, ensuring consistency in portion sizes, ingredients, and presentation.
- Handle and assemble a variety of sandwich ingredients, including meats, cheeses, vegetables, condiments, and spreads.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
Customer Service:
- Interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner, taking orders and providing recommendations as needed.
- Address customer inquiries and requests promptly and professionally, striving to exceed their expectations.
- Maintain a positive attitude and ensure customer satisfaction through prompt service and high-quality food.
Food Quality Control:
- Monitor food quality and freshness, ensuring that all ingredients meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Inspect and rotate ingredients to minimize waste and maximize freshness.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to maintain food costs and profitability.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including sandwich presses, knives, slicers, and toasters.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, such as cleaning and sanitizing, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor or manager.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to coordinate sandwich production and service during peak periods.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Assist with other kitchen tasks and duties as needed, such as food preparation, stocking, and cleaning.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience 1+ year(s) in a food service or kitchen environment, preferably in sandwich making or food preparation.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and customer-focused demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods, lift and carry supplies, and operate kitchen equipment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing menu items and customer preferences.
