Join our team at OpenWindow Home Inspections, a leading provider of septic and environmental services in Raleigh and surrounding areas in North Carolina. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Septic Inspector to ensure the safety and compliance of residential and commercial septic systems. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to public health and safety and thrives in a field-based work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed inspections of septic systems for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Prepare and submit inspection reports, including recommendations for maintenance or repairs.
- Communicate effectively with property owners and provide guidance on septic system care and maintenance.
- Collaborate with contractors and service technicians on issues related to septic system repair and installation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and new technologies in wastewater management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further technical or vocational training in environmental science or a related field is preferred.
- Valid North Carolina septic inspection certification or ability to obtain certification within six months of hire.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in septic system inspection, installation, or maintenance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
