Overview:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and creativity, along with exceptional leadership skills to assist the Head Chef in running our kitchen smoothly.
Duties:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation
- Oversee kitchen staff and coordinate cooking operations
- Ensure food quality meets the highest standards and is served in a timely manner
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to food safety regulations
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative dishes
- Support in training and mentoring kitchen staff
Experience:
- Proven experience in culinary arts and kitchen management
- Knowledge of food service management, restaurant management, and catering operations
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and practices
- Ability to handle high-volume production while maintaining quality
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Creative flair in menu planning and presentation
- Experience with banquet or event catering is a plus
