Provide leadership and direction for development, deployment, and sustainability of flexible product and programs to ensure growth and member engagement and meet evolving market needs for expertise delivery and innovative programs and strategies to maintain and enhance the company’s long-term business and competitive position.
Provide direction for the Member Business Advisor team; including managing product and service development activities, product marketing plans and the monitoring of product performance to ensure that internal and external customer needs are met through profitable and efficient product delivery
Provide Sponsorship to key strategic business initiatives regarding the products and business model of tomorrow to strengthen competitiveness both internally and externally with customers
Provide direction and oversight for the member business advisor team to ensure long-term competitive position through products and services that are responsive to our client’s needs and are easy to understand, sell and administer for all business partners, including financial viability to the enterprise and doctors
Partner with Leadership to identify new product and service opportunities and design innovative, profitable new product concepts that are customer responsive and can be operationally supported, including opportunities to deliver additional consumer choice and value for doctor members
Define products to meet the unique needs of PECAA members and the markets in which they operate.
Develop product and program promotional strategies and positioning that meet the unique needs of all market and consumer segments, and accelerates Vision Care’s growth and operational efficiency
Oversee development of product and program promotional strategies and positioning that meet the unique needs of all market and consumer segments and accelerates PECAA’s growth and operational efficiency
Cultivate new product offerings and manage the external vendor relationships that support these PECAA member offerings
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; Minimum of 1 additional year of experience related to functional area
Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of direct reports
Advanced understanding of product development concepts, theories and practices, as well as vision and/or health plan operations, concepts and deployment techniques
Experience in private practice optometry, managing operational and financial needs of the business
Proven ability to plan large projects strategically and influence others to commit and adapt to frequent change
Proven ability to utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to make decisions as well as escalate critical issues to senior management with risk mitigation plan alternatives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively use a variety of communication mediums and customized content for targeted audiences
Proven ability to communicate effectively to provide consultative services to Executive Management and other business partners on product issues

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets.

Salary Ranges: $90,000.00 - $145,000.00
