Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Athletics/Compliance and Student-Athlete Success is a full-time member of the Athletics Department reporting directly to the Director of Athletics. This position is responsible for special programming needs, academic monitoring, NCAA compliance and will serve as a key decision-maker within the athletics department. Responsibilities include:
- Aid the Director of Athletics and Recreation in all decisions regarding policy, vision for the future and day-to-day operations.

Acts as a key decision-maker instrumentally involved with the athletics department.

Provide oversight, guidance, and direction to all sports teams.

Provide yearly updates to the Athletic Department Coaches Manual and Student-Athlete Manual.

Serve on search committees for coaches, staff and athletic administrators as assigned.

Serve as lead compliance officer on issues related to athletic compliance and student-athlete eligibility.

Monitor and enforce NCAA progress toward a degree requirements.

Update and present a NCAA Compliance meeting that requires student-athlete attendance and successful completion of all NCAA required paperwork.

Responsible for educating and training coaches and staff on all aspects of the rules and regulations for compliance within the current national affiliation.

Required to attend and/or coordinate department attendance at university functions (Open House, NSO, ASD, Athlete Move-in, etc.).

Represent the University at the conference level.

Advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Track the academic progress of all student-athletes and refer student-athletes to the appropriate academic resources available throughout campus when applicable.

Oversee the organization of a fall athlete social during preseason.

Create, organize, manage and present programming that will enhance the experience of our student-athletes and better prepare them for success. Programs will cover a wide range of topics, including academic support, time management, mental health, nutrition, leadership, life skills, career development, diversity and inclusion and many other topics.

Attend a wide range of programming offered by the NCAA to serve as additional professional development opportunities when appropriate.

Create an environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates differences.

Performs responsibilities as Game Manager as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- Ideal candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, master's degree or equivalent related work experience.

Ideal candidates should have 1 - 3 years of supervisory experience in an athletic department or student activities department, preferably in a college/university setting.

Candidates should possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must have the ability to work with time sensitive projects.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and remain pleasant and professional.

Evening and weekend work is required.
