Are you ready for a career with a future? We're looking for seasoned line cooks, prep cooks and kitchen managers ready to graduate from restaurants and transition to a more “normal” schedule in a food manufacturing plant. You'll be producing soups, sauces, side dishes and entrées in 2,000-5,000 lb. kettles instead of stove-top. You bring experience, a solid understanding of the fundamentals of food and cooking, and an enthusiasm to join our team making the best possible foods for our customers. Enjoy a steady, predictable work flow that's not dictated by customer count and holidays/nights/weekends.
You must be comfortable meeting goals and multi-tasking in a busy workplace. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important, but a willingness to learn and constantly improve is the key. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for 2nd shift production and lead a team of kettle cooks.
Responsibilities
- Maintain workstation with all needed equipment and documents
- Scale and verify ingredient prep
- Load ingredients, manage the cooking process
- Record data as required, working with QA and R&D to ensure conformance to specifications and compliance with HACCP and all regulatory requirements
- Maintain a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Communicate with the next/previous shift to ensure orderly transitions
Skill Requirements
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures, methods, and problem solving skills based on experience
- Positive attitude with willingness to take initiative, develop your team, and lead by example
- Spanish language with ability to train and lead non English-speaking crew members
Special consideration for:
- Previous Management or Manufacturing experience
- Formal Culinary training

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
