The GREAT STATE TEAM is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team! As a Human Resources Generalist you would be responsible for administering Human Resource processes and initiatives that advance the mission of Partnerships for a Lifetime. This includes implementing best practices for the recruitment and retention of top talent, administering employee compensation and benefit programs, coordinating performance management functions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws. In addition, the HR Generalist will be involved in maintaining the human resource information system and generate reports as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to leave of absence; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition, and morale.
- Handles employment-related inquiries and complaints from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Responds to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

Administers personnel policies and procedures related to a wide array of employment matters.
- Recommends innovative approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.

Address employee relations issues while considering legal and regulatory implications.

Establish and maintain electronic record-keeping systems in compliance with federal and state law and adherence to best practices in HR records management.

Assists in maintaining HRIS data. Generates reports as requested and needed.

Supports and serves as a role model for the company’s core values.
- A minimum of three years’ experience working as Human Resource Generalist.

A bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or related field.
- Proven success in the areas of employee relations, human resources administration and performance management.

Strong written verbal and listening skills, including the ability to question, reflect, resolve conflict, handle objections and respond to requests for information.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Strong organizational skills. The ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

PHR/SPHR Certification preferred.
Physical/Environment

Sitting for extended periods of time using a computer workstation, telephone, and computer monitor.

Conversing with staff via phone and Microsoft Teams

Occasional light lifting of approximately 10lbs or under.
