Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Events Manager to build a great events time table for our restaurant. The establishment has a great , busy, lively vibe as well as offering fusion fine dining.
Duties:
- The Sales & Events Manager is responsible for:
· Proactively bringing new sales opportunities into the business
· Ensuring clear and friendly rapport is built with guests when enquiries are made
· Conversion of group enquiries into bookings
· Liaising with venue operations teams to provide clear brief of events and ensure agreed requirements are delivered
· Understanding the core guest demographic of the brand and attracting appropriate bookings
· Private Hire. Actively engaging you network to attract bespoke private hire events
· Building a strong working relationship with the venue and office teams with whom you will be working with
Skills:
· Proven experience of sales and event planning within the hospitality industry
· Proven experience of both reactive and proactive sales both B2B and B2C
· Able to create and present sales strategies and budgets to stakeholders
· Able to create and present event packages tailored to a variety of different customers
· Able to work with General Managers and front-of-house staff
· Able to work with Executive Chefs to create menu concepts
· Experience with advertising and marketing on relevant event space platforms
· A strong knowledge of the Toronto hospitality industry, including current trends and competitors
