1st Way Life Center is seeking an RN to provide compassionate support and care for the patients at our medical branch. The staff RN will maintain professional standards of care following the ANA Code of Ethics and will provide limited and well-defined medical services. Care provided by the RN includes obtaining patient intake and medical history, pregnancy testing, STD testing and treatment. The RN will work under the general supervision of the nurse / clinic manager and in conjunction with the medical director, executive director, nurses, RDMSs, and volunteers striving to provide the best medical, nursing, and psychosocial care possible in accordance with the center’s policies and procedures.
Essential Qualifications / RN
1) Holds a current RN license in good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and the Illinois Board of Nursing (some experience working in obstetrics preferred)
2) Holds a current CPR certification
3) Is dependable, stable, and capable of following through on commitments
4) Represents the clinic in the community as directed by the nurse / clinic manager or executive director
5) Respects confidentiality
6) Good communication and organizational skills
7) Basic computer skills and proficiency in software programs used for documentation and report generation
8) Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuing education within the field

Flexible hours: 5-hour shifts and up to 25 hours / week shifts available.
