JOB TITLE: Mechanic

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mechanic is an entry level cockpit window position where the individual repairs and overhauls a variety of windows in accordance with PAT repair process specifications and applicable CMMs with supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Basic Mechanical Skills including use of hand and power tools.
- Identify parts & tag with applicable repairable tags for traceability.
- Identify materials and window components, and special handling instructions.
- Read diagrams, blueprints, and drawings.
- Understand and follow technical documentation.
- Identify calibrated equipment and location of calibration tools.
- Perform general cleaning of component parts.
- Locate and identify tooling fixtures IAW with technical data/documentation.
- Perform visual inspections for inclusions and defects IAW limits noted in repair specifications.
- Operate sandblaster, paint booth equipment, industrial oven, PAT heat table, DSLR camera, FLIR camera, light table, glass buffer, and computer.
- Mix and apply paint and sealants.
- Evaluate and record test results on applicable forms IAW repair specifications.
- Document work performed on applicable forms.
- Use various software.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Basic in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel to track maintenance.
- Ability to learn and effectively utilize ERP Systems.
- Must be able to understand, speak, read and write in English.

Drug-free working environment. Combination of usual office conditions and manufacturing environment. Some elements in the production area may be present which make conditions less desirable than usually found in an office setting. Employees may occasionally experience exposure to elements such as odor, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals. The production area is a chemical working area; food is not allowed.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
