The LeFrak Center at Lakeside is Brooklyn’s activity destination featuring year-round activities including ice skating, roller skating, bumper cars, dining, water play, biking, boating, family-friendly classes and special events.
This first-class family entertainment facility is comprised of 35,000 square feet of interior space and offices, two ice skating rinks which convert to a splash pad area and roller skating arena, biking and boating activities. With indoor and outdoor dining areas, café, bar and catering facilities, and designated event spaces and multipurpose rooms we are equipped to host a wide range of events including sports tournaments, clinics, special events, banquets, meetings, weddings, concerts, community events and other family friendly activities.
About the position:
We are seeking a Front of House Shift Lead to join Grub & Games at The LeFrak Center at Lakeside.
As the FOH Shift Lead, you will enhance the guest experience through exceptional hospitality. This position requires knowledge of hospitality, food and beverage service, and the ability to coach and oversee staff performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or relevant field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar leadership role.
- Thorough understanding of restaurant and bar operations.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication, along with strong interpersonal skills.
- A positive, enthusiastic, and energetic demeanor.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Adaptability to manage a dynamic work environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient in training staff, implementing safety protocols, and adhering to SOPs.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise restaurant and concessions operations.
- Execute opening and closing procedures.
- Greet and assist customers with their orders.
- Promptly address client and guest concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and knowledge of products.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and uphold service standards.
- Enforce food handling and cleanliness standards.
- Communicate inventory and equipment needs.
- Adhere to service standards and DOH guidelines.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with team members.
This position participates in the tip pool.
