Essential Responsibilities:
- Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses under the direction of a physician.
- Measures radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
- Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceutical's under the direction of a physician.
- Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials.
- Orders radiopharmaceutical's as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Required to be board certified in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT) licensed by the State of Illiniois.
- Associates Degree.
- Previous experience is preferred.
