River Point Farms is seeking reliable and knowledgeable Electrician to help maintain and repair all electrical and control systems for the farms, plant, and offices.
Responsibilities:
- Test and troubleshoot circuits in electrical panels and systems throughout the farm and plant. Locate, repair, and replace defective parts.
- Assess electrical maintenance needs of equipment and implement an effective regular maintenance program.
- Perform preventive maintenance functions on low and medium voltage electro-mechanical, PLC and solid-state polyphase switch gear operations and voltage motors.
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance functions on electro-mechanical based control systems.
- Stay educated on updates to the National Electrical Code and various regulations, practices, and industry standards governing installation and maintenance of various types of electrical systems.
- Build strong relationships to effectively partner with other departments to proactively understand their needs.
- Collaborate with maintenance team on reducing mechanical downtime and maximizing down days by identifying and prioritizing mechanical and electrical needs.
- Become familiar with all safety devices and emergency shutdown procedures; ensure they are always functioning including the lockout-tagout procedures.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and champion a best-in-class safety culture.
- Upkeep any industry and trade-related training, licenses and certifications required to perform job effectively.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent. Advanced degree a plus.
- Oregon/Washington State Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrician License or higher.
- 5+ years of experience as a Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrician.
- Solid working knowledge of processing plant electrical systems.
- Understand 480v voltage motor operation, performs preventive maintenance functions.
- Computer proficiency in MS tools with ability to learn other programs/systems/software.
- Able to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, schematics diagrams and follow specifications.
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills. Spanish language ability a plus.
- Valid driver’s license.
- First-Aid and CPR certification.
- Work involves but is not limited to heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and twisting throughout work period. Stepping up, stepping down and kneeling required. Long-term sitting, standing, and walking required. Wrist, hand, and finger movement as well as various arm movement, neck movements. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work long hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays, per company needs.
