JOB SUMMARY
To assist the department in providing a safe, comfortable, and attractive living and working environment for Lad Lake across the campus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Be the primary technician who is responsible for painting across grounds with efficiency and good craftsmanship.
2. Perform general upkeep and repair tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
3. Be particularly responsible for the repairs in units as assigned.
4. Maintain and repair equipment needed to effect necessary upkeep and repairs.
5. Be alert for safety hazards and make repairs immediately if possible, and report the problem to the department Supervisor.
6. Operate any Lad Lake equipment carefully following Lad Lake’s safety guidelines and report any malfunction to the Supervisor.
7. Complete necessary driving to schools, post office, stores, etc. as assigned by the department Supervisor.
8. Assume “on call” status as assigned.
9. Assist as directed in emergencies.
11. Demonstrate consideration and respect for both clients and staff keeping in mind that all staff members are “role models” to our youth. The Facilities Technician is expected to effectively and efficiently perform all other reasonable duties as may be identified and assigned by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE*
Education/Training: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing.
Skills: 2-3 years of previous painting experience preferred. Possess some knowledge and skill in general repair and upkeep of facility buildings and have a basic understanding of carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, construction, small engines, and auto mechanics. Must be able to move and lift 50 lb. cartons.
Experience: Prior painting and maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
