Job Title: Director of Nursing
Reports To: Chief Nursing Officer

Overview:
As the Director of Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all nursing activities within our healthcare facility. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive work environment for nursing staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Oversee the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures in alignment with best practices.
- Manage staffing levels, and resource allocation to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care delivery and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Medicare guidelines and resident rights.
- Supervise nursing staff performance, conduct evaluations, and provide ongoing training and mentorship.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care plans for patients in acute care, hospice care, and assisted living settings.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.
Skills:
- Proficiency in nursing administration and leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Medicare regulations and reimbursement processes.
- Experience in hospice care, assisted living facilities, and acute care settings.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and resident rights.
- Ability to manage nurse management systems effectively.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.
- Active RN license with a minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
- Certification in Nurse Management or Healthcare Administration is a plus.
