Responsibilities
- Generate construction drawings/models in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Develop, modify, and/or review drawings according to established standards
- Assist in project set-up including importing details, edit general notes and managing and link external files from other disciplines
- Translate mark-ups into drawings
- Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining drafting resources in conformance with client internal standards or external client standards, including standards detail library
- Provide technical support for AutoCAD/Revit software use, implementation and training
- Collaborate with clients and in-house engineers to ensure efficient data sharing
- Work closely with client Management and staff to attain common goals of drafting efficiency and high quality deliverables
Qualifications
- Relevant drafting experience in AutoCAD and Revit, and working knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, and methods preferred
- Structural discipline preferred (detailing steel, concrete, masonry, wood, etc.), however drafter experience in other disciplines such as architectural, civil, etc. will be considered. Otherwise willing to train!
- Proficient with AutoDesk suite including AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD Civil, Revit and Bluebeam Revu Sessions
- Formal education in Drafting/Design preferred
- Ability to perform assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision
- Proven knowledge of plan set development preferred
- Self-driven and ambitious individual with a desire and aptitude to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and work ethic.
- High attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
