Position Function
The Burris Director of Special Services will provide leadership, support, and innovative training to teachers and staff who work with students with disabilities. To remain current in special education law and trends in order to provide students with disabilities a free and appropriate public education as well as the richest and most equitable educational experience the school can provide. Analysis and interpretation of student data. Work with staff on the interpretation of student data to ensure mastery of learning.
Minimum Education
Masters Degree in Education or related field
Minimum Experience
Three years of special education administrative experience, can include Director, Assistant Director, Lead Teacher, or other related administrative experience
Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education
Masters Degree or Doctorate in Special Education or related field; Special Education Director’s License
