Job Summary:
Solo medical practitioner seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant for a low volume Concierge Medical Practice. This a part time position 3 days a week. - Tuesday thru Thursday. The ideal candidate will provide support to the physician and attend to patient needs ensuring efficient patient care delivery. People and communication skills are essential and a priority. An outgoing and warm personality and a desire to be of assistance are key aspects in the hiring process. Applicant must be dedicated to patient satisfaction and have excellent English language skills.
Responsibilities:
-Perform front desk clerical and receptionist functions -
Accepting incoming calls and prioritizing them. Must have experience and show good judgment when triaging messages by level of medical urgency. Scheduling appointments, reminder calls and recalls. Handling inquiries about prescriptions and prior authorizations. Preparing patient bills and collections and interfacing with billing service. Maintaining patient charts and office supplies. Handle confidential medical records and maintain HIPAA compliance. Basic computer skills - email, word processing, fax, scanning are required as a minimum as well as electronic prescribing.
- Perform basic clinical and administrative duties under the supervision of a physician.
- Limited role assising in patient examinations - measuring vital signs, recording patient information and performing ECG's. Phlebotomy skills a plus but not required.
- Help maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Experience:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant REQUIRED.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a medical office setting REQUIRED.
- Strong knowledge of medical administrative support functions.
- Ability to provide exceptional patient care with compassion and empathy.
