Hanson Companies, www.hansonsilo.com is searching for a Senior Accountant with a minimum of three to five year's of experience for a leadership role in charge of its financial area. Candidate should be experienced with general ledger management and financial statement reporting, cost accounting, accounts payable and receivable oversight(including billing and collections), inventory management, and have strong analytical skills.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for all financial considerations for this company including providing timely and accurate financial statements, balance sheet management, cash reconciliations and cash flow forecasting, capital project reviews, and compliance with various state reporting requirements. The position will be responsible for the preparation and management of budgets, and financial forecasts, coordinating the input from the production and sales teams. The individual will also be charged with overseeing the administrative functions of this entity including the payroll and human resource functions, and other finance and administrative duties as required.
The selected individual must have strong interpersonal skills to be able and work across all departments of this manufacturer, specifically working collaboratively with the operations team and management.
Supervisory responsibilities will include oversight of the existing accounting personnel.
The individual must have strong verbal and written interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be able to work across functional areas within the Company.
Other experience and skills not required but would be favorable for the Senior Accountant position include;
Experience with sales tax and reporting – wholesale vs retail vs construction
External report writing software example: Domo.com
Strong Excel skills/knowledge
Construction industry knowledge and experience with working with general contractors
Department of Transportation (DOT) and International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) fillings and reporting
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) requirements and reporting
GAAP knowledge
General understanding of Manufacturing, inventory,

Pay: $78,451.00 - $82,162.00 per year
