Job Location: DFW Airport Ampersand Terminal C36 - DFW Airport, TX
Position Type: Full-Time (at least 40 hours) & Part-Time (20-30 hours)
Job Shift: Morning, Mid Day, Evening, All.
Compensation: Starting pay is $12 per hour plus up to $6-8 per hour in tips. Average pay for the position is $18-20 Hourly, Pay includes a base pay plus tips.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Customer service experience preferred, barista experience a plus.
- Must be able to pass an FAA required 10-year criminal background check
- Ability to obtain and Airport ID Badge within 20-30 days of employment
- Ability to provide legal identification and to work in the United States
- Food Handler Certification, or the ability to obtain certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment
- You have strong social skills and love to meet new people
- You have the ability to stay calm and enjoy working in a fast and exciting environment
- You love to learn new things and are able to pick up new skills quickly
- You have the ability to understand and follow verbal & written instructions, policies & rules, and to request assistance when needed

- Knowledge of math to figure cost, make change and cash handling procedures
- Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with guests

Job Responsibilities:
- As part of the BOH team, you'll be responsible for food preparation that meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards, and must be able to prepare all foods to meet quantity and deadline requirements
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
- As part of this, you would help maintain the high-quality product by following our quality and safety standards
- Prepares food according to specifications by using approved recipes, proper portioning, and food prep logs/tools
- Restocks front line with prepared product during peak volumes and/or in accordance with time & temperature
- Adheres to food safety standards and reports any questionable food deliveries and/or practices
- Have fun and maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Strive to exceed guest expectations
- Be a willing team player and maintain a cooperative, respectful working relationship with management and fellow team members
- Be an ambassador for Ampersand
- Monitor the quality of products and take appropriate actions to maintain that quality
- Ensure personal appearance meets company standards and display professionalism at all times
- Recognize and adhere to all sanitation, safety, security policies and procedures to provide a safe environment for all

Work Environment and Context
- Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
