We are looking to hire a Quality Control Inspector with a positive - can-do attitude! If you're interested in learning more about the role, please read below.
·Measure, examine, or test in-process and finished product to check for defects and ensure conformance to drawings or specifications using precision instruments such as calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.
·Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process product and finished product.
· Calibrate, validate, or maintain inspection equipment.
· Complete documentation needed to support inspection activities.
· Identify quality problems and recommend solutions.
· Interpret inspection results, compare them to established requirements and notify proper personnel.
· Investigate or report questionable inspection results.
· Create reports or documentation such as Non-Conformance Reports, In-process inspection and final inspection reports.
· Perform visual inspections of finished products.
· Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, and measuring instruments required.
· Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
· Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
· 3-5 years’ experience in a machine shop environment required
- Thread Inspection experience
· Experience in precision instrumentation and reading/interpreting engineering drawings preferred
· Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
· Knowledge of ISO standards and requirements.
· Skill at conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
· Knowledge of inspecting inspection equipment to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
· Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
· Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
· Must have knowledge and understanding of machining and manufacturing processes.
