Canterbury School is seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to join our Advancement team. This position will work closely with members of the Advancement Team and other internal departments, including Academics, Student Life, Dining Services, Facilities & Housekeeping, etc., as well as external stakeholders, to plan, organize, and execute events, including, not limited to: Alumni Weekend, alumni regional gatherings, Family Weekend, Grandparents & Friends Day, and other strategic fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events throughout the year. Reporting to the Director of Development, this position is vital in planning and executing events that engage the community, foster a sense of belonging, and advance the school's mission and core values.
Essential Responsibilities:
- In partnership with the Director of Development and Director of Alumni Relations, conceptualize, plan, and execute diverse Advancement events on and off campus.
- Coordinate, in collaboration with event stakeholders, all event marketing and communication logistics, including guest list generation and data requests, event date and venue selection, invitation design, catering, décor, entertainment, and guest accommodations as needed,
- Develop and manage event communications timelines, including RSVP reminders, post-event communications, budgets, and resource allocation plans with the event host.
- Record all required data for post-event analysis with the help of the Advancement Database Manager.
- Conduct post-event evaluations and implement improvements for future events.
- Collect receipts and submit timely documentation to the Business Office for all invoice payments.
- Complete all administrative tasks on time, including maintaining a working record of events procedures and logistics, submitting event request forms, and following up on missing information from event form submissions.
- Regularly direct and attend event planning meetings and inform the Facilities team of all pertinent upcoming event details.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
