Job Summary:
The Mortgage Servicing Quality Control Senior Auditor is responsible for coordinating monthly and quarterly audits conducted by Guaranteed Rate on sub-serviced loans to ensure loans are serviced in compliance with all federal and state regulations, investor guidelines, and Guaranteed Rate policy and procedures. This includes sampling and testing loans, identifying findings requiring remediation, and reporting results to Guaranteed Rate’s Executive Management.
Responsibilities:
Execute monthly Servicing Quality Control audits to support mortgage servicing by external sub-servicers. Assist in planning, UAT testing and reporting phases of department quality initiatives, tracking exceptions and remediation activity.
Perform monthly Quality Control reviews of Loan Servicing to ensure compliance with all federal, state and investor requirements; re-validating relevant loan information to ensure accuracy.
Partner with Manager of Quality Control to prepare audit reports, including corrective action plans, and remediation activity in a timely manner.
Provide feedback on loan quality/compliance to sub-servicing management.
Assist in communicating decisions to all parties, building relationships with both internal and external partners; assist with development of audit and remediation tracking activity reports for Senior Management.
Under the direction of the Manager, Quality Control, oversee and manage production and quality of testing vendors (on shore and off)
Respond to internal and 3rd party audit findings including Quality Control requests for supporting documentation necessary to complete reviews.
Works effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
Works independently while understanding the necessity for open communication and coordination of work efforts with managers, other employees, and business partners to ensure interaction is courteous and professional with other employees, customers, and business partners.
Report compliance trends and issues to management.
Conduct coaching and calibration meetings.
Assist in implementing quality monitoring program.
Qualifications:
5 to 7 years mortgage servicing experience with emphasis in compliance, audit, or quality control.
Prior experience working with loan servicing systems, particularly MSP, as well as AllRegs, FHA Connection|CAIVRS; Valerie, MERS, FNMA, FHLMC, preferred.
Strong knowledge of GSE, Agency, state, and federal servicing requirements, with particular focus on loss mitigation and default servicing requirements
Effectively handle multiple assignments while meeting departmental performance measures.
Experience working with offshore resources preferred
Ability to organize and coordinate projects for timely delivery to leadership.
Ability to provide outstanding customer service to internal/external partners.
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated decision-making ability.
Ability to collaborate with others in a team setting in a fast-pasted environment.
Ability to rapidly adapt to changing information, conditions and/or unexpected opportunities.
MSP experience is strongly preferred, as is experience with the ACES QC platform.
