Job Summary
Reports directly to the site Program Director or CEO, responsible for providing youth services to support and assist youth in achieving unsubsidized employment. Primarily responsible for recruitment, initial intake procedures, job readiness training, job search activities, and if applicable client payment procedures. Will provide assistance in agency operational and programmatic needs for the CAPs youth programs. Will support a team concept to reach identified program goals. Will practice, promote, and enforce all established CAPs policies and procedures.
The primary responsibility is to conduct and assist clients in completing job readiness classes and activities, and any other educational requirement to qualify for unsubsidized employment and achieve job retention. Responsible for conducting and/or coordinating Personal Development and Job Skills Training workshops, customized training, computer literacy classes, Job Club job search activities, and any required educational activity for an assigned office to achieve established goals. Provides educational case management and data entry to document and ensure all clients meet the required hours of participation, and progress to unsubsidized employment
Responsibilities and Duties
- Conducts Personal Development, Job Skills Training workshops, computer literacy training, Money Smart, customized training, and any other classes as required to ensure clients are prepared to obtain and sustain employment. Will conduct daily Job Club activities.
- Will ensure that all clients that complete training are placed in subsidized and/or unsubsidized employment. Will recruit employers and link all customized training to job placement and assist in job retention.
- Responsible for case management and as needed data entry for clients assigned and completing activities, transportation and other support expenses, subsidized and unsubsidized job placement. Will ensure the timely and accurate entry of information in the CAPs database system to facilitate billing and other reports that are reconciled with external system
Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications:
- Preferably four-year degree in social services or business management, or at least 4 years of case management experience with a high school diploma, GED or some college.
- Preferable two years of experience working with the underprivileged population and Employers providing employment and training services.
- Ability to work well with others.
Skills:
- Proficient in computer operations, web-based and Microsoft application data entry.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain client documentation and confidentiality.
- Professional telephone and other communication skills related to employment placement.
- Organizational skills in job duties, responsibilities and documentation management.
