Western Home communities is looking for a person to fill the role of Chaplain. This position functions as part of the Spiritual Care Department, as we seek to minister to WHC residents, staff, their families, and even to the community outside our campus- in the name of Christ. This position can be full-time or part-time. Wage consideration will be based on experience. Please apply with a copy of your current resume.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include visitation and program ministry duties; relationally walking alongside and ministering in a wide variety of settings that would include hospital, independent and assisted living, memory care, and end-of-life visits.
- Assist in the planning and implementing of our Sunday morning worship services and other weekly or monthly Spiritual Care events such as Bible studies, funerals, celebrations of life, and other ministry initiatives.
Requirements:
- Be a confessing follower of Jesus Christ with a heart for ministry in this community!
- Be able to walk with, communicate, and build healthy, Christ honoring relationships with residents, staff, and their families.
- Be able to effectively represent the Gospel in a wide variety of faith and non-faith settings.
- Have ministry experience to assist or give leadership to existing Spiritual Care programming.
- Ordained, seminary, or other pastoral education is helpful, but not required.
