Boda Borg Boston is a destination entertainment business that welcomes over 150,000 guests each year. Teams of people (adults and children) take on our 24 Quests with a variety of mental and physical challenges, and themes like prison escape, government alien lab, jungle exploration, and obstacle course.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, touch-ups, and component rebuilds in Quests as well as in the general facility (e.g. bathrooms, common areas, etc.)
We are open to hiring full-time or part-time. Both a full-time or part-time position must include Saturday, Sunday, and Monday as regular hours. For a full-time hire, the other two days are flexible (e.g. Thu-Mon, Fri-Tue, or Sat-Wed).
Compensation: $24 to $30 per hour, based on experience
Key Responsibilities include:
- Basic carpentry, drywall patching, painting, low voltage wiring, etc.
- Inspection, troubleshooting, and repairing of Quests
- Preventative and reactive maintenance
- Basic building maintenance, including doors, fixtures, walls, flooring, etc.
- Documentation of issues and repairs
- Helping train interested team members in safety inspection and basic fixes
Education & Experience Required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of maintenance experience
Other requirements
- Work will often overlap with Boda Borg being open to the public. Must be able to interact professionally and in a friendly manner with guests, and must be able to minimize the impact of maintenance work on guest experience.
- The work of this position will require the Maintenance Technician to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The team member is occasionally required to climb or balance; work for long periods of time; from heights; stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl; work in confined spaces; and walk. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations will be considered to enable an applicant to perform the required work.
