As a Project Planner you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget. The Advanced Technology team is primarily focused on the enhancement of our 3D Scanning, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Quality Control process. This role includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The selected candidate will also define the project's objectives, oversee quality control, and ensure continuous alignments with goals. Given Orthomerica's commitment to adopting new best practices and standards, an emphasis on continuous learning and process improvement is essential. The role involves researching and evaluating relevant regulations, new technologies, and methodologies to enhance our project management practices.
In addition to project management duties, you will support Orthomerica's 3D scanning products by collaborating closely with the customer service team to train them on handling customer issues effectively. To achieve our project objectives, the role requires active engagement with all project phases, aiming to deliver high-quality, and secure outcomes while working alongside other professionals, including internal staff, third-party vendors and contractors.
- Oversee the modification of software to fix errors, improve performance, and adapt to new processes or technologies
- Actively participate in and coordinate code reviews and system evaluations
- Participate in system verification and validation activities as needed
- Develop project documentation, including software programming and system specifications
- Consult with management and project teams to provide status updates and project insights
- Collaborate with internal staff, end users, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders on project-related technical issues
- Prepare detailed reports on project specifications, activities, and status
- Train and instruct the Customer Support team to handle 3D scanning issues more effectively
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams, ensuring proper follow-up and customer communication
- Perform duties as required to support users of scanning technology, both external and internal
- Perform other duties as assigned
DESIRED QUALIFICATION:
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and framework, such as Scrum, Agile, and /or PMI
- Experience working in a regulated market (FDA, FAA, FCC, ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.)
- Experience with GxP-validated environments
- Quick learner with the ability to suggest and implement new procedures, software, and systems to increase efficiency
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana.)
- Experience documenting project procedures, software projects, and designs
- Strong knowledge of mobile apps, smartphones, and their operating systems (iOS, Android)
MANDATORY QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in software development or IT projects
- Proficiency in MS Office-Excel, PowerPoint & Word
- Knowledge of basic project management principals and tools
