Hoefer Welker is seeking a qualified Senior Medical Equipment Procurement Specialist. Candidate must have minimum of 10 years of experience purchasing medical equipment for healthcare new project construction, and an in-depth knowledge of medical equipment devices and experience with hospital supply chain organizations. Essential Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of medical equipment supply chain, procurement validation, milestone scheduling, pre-construction equipment coordination and equipment installation coordination.
- Develop procurement activities and lea-time schedules.
- Administer Request for Quotes (RFQ) to medical equipment suppliers and review for accuracy against design specifications.
- Interact and lead discussions with client's supply chain and project teams to source equipment appropriate for each project.
- Lead other internal medical equipment procurement team resources.
- Manage multiple procurement-related projects and deliverables simultaneously.
- Travel as needed.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years of experience in the healthcare supply chain industry, or performing as a Senior Medical Equipment Procurement Buyer, is required. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint); Experience using SmartSheet, PeopleSoft and Lawson applications a plus.
