Summary of Position
This role supports RESOLVE by coordinating and managing domestic and international projects relating to the protection of habitats and wildlife. This position provides technical expertise on wildlife conservation. The position also manages partner relationships and co-funding opportunities including issuing and monitoring consultant agreements and contracts and working with the finance department and other teams to manage budgets and payments. This position further supports RESOLVE by conducting biodiversity assessments and providing facilitation and meeting support.
Position Responsibilities
Project management:
- Coordinates all aspects of the Quick Response Fund for Nature – rapid response land grant fund.
- Oversees the Tembo Pilipili project – community based human elephant coexistence program in Tanzania.
- Manages the IWCN wolf project with partner organizations.
- Manages the budgets for assigned projects.
- Produces and presents financial reporting.
- Writes and manages proposals and contracts.
Program coordination:
- Monitors project budgets and assists with financial review of program budgets, helps inform/develop program budgets.
- Coordinates all activities of program for RESOLVE’s annual meeting.
- Drafts program related text for annual report and RESOLVE website; presentations for donors and partners.
- Manages fiscal sponsor relationship with TerrAdapt.
Research and technical:
- Conducts research, data analysis, and spatial analysis (GIS) for biodiversity conservation projects and publications.
- Researches issues, technologies, policies, and potential NGO and corporate partners for collaborative conservation projects.
- Assists with collaborative research on selected applications or subjects, including participating in field research.
Communication and outreach:
- Prepares and presents scientific findings through reports, publications, and presentations at conferences, workshops, and other relevant forums.
- Communicates scientific concepts and research outcomes to diverse audiences, including policymakers, donors, media, and the general public.
- Participates in media interviews, press releases, and public awareness campaigns to raise awareness about conservation issues.
- Supports fundraising activities with presentations and appearances.
- Provides facilitation and meeting support.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Personnel Management
- Manages external consultants and partners, provides mentorship to interns.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science and policy, or similar field.
- Fluency in English required, bilingual ability preferred
Travel and Residence
- This position requires international and domestic travel, sometimes for long periods of time.

Pay: $84,739.00 per year
