FIELD SERVICE – HEAVY EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN – HIGH GROUND EQUIPMENT Plaistow, NH

High Ground Equipment sells and supports Terex-Finlay (Crushers and Screeners), Terex-CBI (Grinders) and Terex-Ecotec (Shredders and Trommels). We provide equipment rentals and sales as well parts and service support for all our product lines to an existing customer base that continues to grow.
High Ground Equipment is looking for a Field Service Technician – Heavy Equipment Technician to support customer and company owned Crushers, Screeners, Grinders and Shredders.
As a High Ground Field Service Technician, you’ll participate in the growth of New England’s Terex Material-Processing dedicated dealer. You’ll get comprehensive training on the products and have ongoing direct access to manufacturer technical support resources. You’ll initially work alongside a trained experienced field service engineer/manager who will help you to become familiar with each of the machines we work with. You’ll have the opportunity join us on the ground floor and help the company grow. You'll Operate a High Ground Service Truck.
Compensation will include salary – plus additional performance and productivity incentives. Includes paid vacation, and participation in health insurance benefits program.
You will:
ü Work with our Service Manager / Field Service Engineer to maintain, inspect and diagnose equipment problems, propose the best possible solution and perform the work needed on hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
ü Perform pre-delivery inspections to ensure customers receive equipment in working order and post-rental inspections to identify wear and/or breakage
ü The position will require travel within New England to perform work both in the field and at High Ground’s location and to attend factory training classes
ü Visit existing customers to inspect, advise and support the relationship – wellness visits
ü Safety-First ~ Wear necessary PPE and actively support safety policy, goals, and objectives and use sound environmental practices
Requirements, Skills and Competencies: Experience and/or knowledge (minimum must include prior training of basic-principles) for hydraulic, diesel, electrical and mechanical systems.
Qualifications:
· Ability to maintain positive and effective interaction with customers, fellow employees and equipment manufacturers
· Ability to communicate both written and verbally
· Be responsible and care for company-owned tools, equipment, and vehicles
· Own essential hand tools Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and pass a criminal background check
· Heavy equipment service/maintenance knowledge helpful
· Heavy equipment mechanical experience helpful
· Post-secondary mechanic training is preferred, but a combination of education and work experience will be considered
