Job Description
Lumenor is seeking a Project Controls Lead in the Mid-Atlantic region to support our Project Management and Controls department. This is an exciting opportunity that will allow the successful candidate to deliver project controls services to transportation, transit, and utilities customers, provide day-to-day leadership to project controls professionals, and support the growth of the department in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing the full array of project controls functions spanning the Owner’s Representative, Engineering, or the Design Build perspective for large mega projects. We are looking for someone that can manage a team, that has the desire to support business development functions to help drive the pipeline of work for the department, and someone who has the experience to provide project controls services over large programs and mega projects.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a Project Controls team with a focus on all aspects of project controls including scheduling, budget/cost management, funding management, risk management, project management information systems, document control, procurement support, estimating, etc.
- Support resource management of a project controls team, including recruitment of new employees, career development, training and mentoring, and fostering company culture.
- Drive the delivery of the Department’s projects including supporting contract discussions/negotiations, work planning, technical delivery, quality management, document controls, budget management, contract management, and client satisfaction.
- Lead practice building efforts for the Project Controls team to align to company overall goals and strategic plan.
- Support the Project Management and Project Controls department with business development in the mid-Atlantic region.
- Provide project controls and procurement support services on active and forthcoming projects.
- Develop tools and processes to standardize project delivery, provide transparent reporting, and ensure consistent outcomes.
- Provide input on the preparation of proposal materials for project pursuits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Financial Management, Business Management or similar major.
- 10+ years of Project Controls experience.
- Proven experience leading a team of project controls professionals.
Preferred skills / experience:
- Experience on large complex projects and programs in the transportation / transit industry.
- Industry-standard professional credentials (PMP, CCP, PSP, etc)
- Strong level of expertise in scheduling utilizing Primavera and MS Project.
- Experience with both Client facing and internal project controls processes and analysis.
- Experience developing meaningful KPIs and implementing solutions / systems to facilitate effective dashboarding.
- Experience managing claims, time and cost impact analyses, etc.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Possess interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships.
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to participate in proposal preparation.
- Ability to travel domestically, as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $135,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
