Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical instruments and equipment to support efficient patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment following established protocols.
- Assemble instrument trays and surgical kits accurately for use in medical procedures.
- Inspect instruments for damage and functionality, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for sterile processing.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet the needs of various departments efficiently.
Requirements:
-400hours completion as a SPT.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Experience in sterile processing techniques is preferred.
- Strong inventory management skills to track supplies accurately.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting with attention to detail.
- Certification or diploma in Sterile Processing Technology is a plus.
