Job Description:
A newly built self-storage company in the Elmhurst section of Queens is seeking an energetic, customer-oriented individual for a full-time Assistant Manager position. The ideal candidate will be dependable, eager to learn, and thrive in a high-growth environment. Essential qualifications include supervisory experience, marketing and sales skills, excellent customer service, and computer literacy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Attend to day-to-day operations of the office.
· Rental of storage units to attain store revenue goals.
· Make collection calls on delinquent accounts
· Sale of merchandise.
· Operate (POS) system and take payments.
· Conduct monthly facility audits.
· Submit vendor invoices for payment.
· Marketing.
· Maintain facility by reporting all necessary repairs.
· Conduct weekly staff meetings to review productivity.
· Overall store management, supervision, and policy implementation.
· Customer service leadership.
· Provide training and development to team members to boost sales and customer service performance.
· Light maintenance work required, including cleaning of rental units, sweeping and/or mopping hallways, loading docks, bathroom, office and windows.

Requirements:
Candidates for this position must be self-motivated, have good communication, organizational and computer skills. The ideal candidate should have a great attitude, dependable, personable and able to multi-task.
· Prior store manager retail experience (minimum 3-5 yrs).
· Extensive marketing and customer service experience.
· Ability to meet monthly quotas and work in a fast pace environment.
· Ability to lead a team of Assistant Managers, and communicate effectively with customers, peers and management.
· Availability to work weekends required.
