PTA Job Responsibilities:
- This outpatient, private clinic position is for every Monday and Friday, whatever hours you want to work between 8-5 until I can find a full-time Spanish speaking PTA. I am open to 8-5, 10-5, 9-2 or whatever works for you. I am looking for a full-time person who can also work in the Sugar Land clinic a couple days a week until we fill that position.
- We rarely if ever have more than two patients per hour and you will be working with a DPT, another PTA and a patient liaison. We also try to see Medicare patients by themselves for the hour when the schedule allows. Clinic is spacious, new, has a lot of windows with a serene view of a 'lake'.
- Promotes and maintains health of patients by providing physical therapy services during treatments.
- Must have experience with and a desire to work in a high-volume out-patient clinic.
- Enjoy being part of a team.
- Administers treatment programs set by DPTs for patients.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records in WebPT.
- Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities.
- Helps patients in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
- Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, and promoting wellness and health maintenance.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Maintains production objectives by noting current treatment trends and monitoring actual physical therapy services rendered to production objectives.
- Maintains legal and accreditation compliance by adhering to policy positions concerning federal, state, and local regulations and DNV standards.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading periodicals, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Enhances physical therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
PTA Qualifications / Skills:

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Physical Therapy Assistant Degree with current Texas license
- Must be able to speak Spanish
- Previous WebPT experience preferred
- Able to practice in Texas

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
