Objective : To assist in anyway possible with the total operation of the Deli/ Bakery
department. This would include all company policy and procedures for the Deli/ Bakery Dept. You and your department are a creative and exciting extension of the total store. It may be you that will determine a customer’s shopping preference. As one of the store’s customer relations representatives, it will be you that helps build good will by carrying out duties in a cheerful, efficient, and courteous manner. Relocation to Ennis Montana required.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience/Education):
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) is Preferred but not required.
Competencies or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):
· Good Decision Making Skills, Problem Solving, and be able to work independently
· Good Knowledge of the practice and concepts related to job at hand
· Ability to adapt in fast pace environment
· Good Organizational Skills
· Basic Knowledge of use of all the equipment and programs specific to your department
· Good communication skills, both written and oral
· Work well with others.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
Repetitive Hand motion, hearing/ Listening, talking, standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching overhead, pulling, position, shoveling, Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Position is mainly inside, and out of the elements
There will times that there is noise from the machines, and people and store, at a higher than normal range.
You will be working food- in an environment where there could exposure to things like fumes, high temperatures, hot oils, and sharp objects

- Must be capable of pricing, dating, wrapping, and bagging all deli products in accordance with department managers and store policies
- Capable of recognizing the quality of and distinguishing between the various products that the deli/ bakery carries
- Capable of rotating, filling, merchandising, and arranging display cases
- Capable of frying Chicken and preparation of all items in the deli hot case
- Capable of prepping and preparing all deli items ie: trays, pizzas, sandwiches, and breads.
- Responsible for cleaning dishes, hot case and salad bar in compliance with state requirements.
- Assist in anyway possible with counter service.
- Maintain and provide minor maintenance to equipment and deli/bakery area.
- Be able to completely breakdown, sanitize, and rebuild all deli cases and shelves.
- Know Store layout and safety Protocols and where emergency equipment is for the store
- To know pricing and coding for all deli items.
- Maintain attractive and appealing cases and displays for increased sales.
- Maintain product quality and cost controls to maximize sales and profits and minimize losses.
- Work closely with department manager to learn total operations of the Deli department and the company, Strive daily to progress and grow the company
- Be knowledgeable of deli items, descriptions and ingredients so to better serve our customers and answer any questions that might arise.
- Practice self-development so that additional duties can be added.
- Maintain physical appearance of the department and all of its equipment.
- Use and maintain deli and bakery equipment properly and safely at all times. Must inform department manager of any equipment problems via Deli face-book page.
- Meet Company and State Guidelines for safety and sanitation standard.
- Must be familiar with all company safety and accident prevention policies; report all accidents to the department manager, or in their absence store manager
