Position Summary: Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Human Resources will lead and direct our human resources department. This role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and HR policies, programs, and practices in alignment with our mission and strategic goals. The VP of HR will focus on strategy development, program alignment, and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and mentorship reflecting Innovative Services’ mission, vision, and values.
- Lead and develop a high-performance team; attract, recruit, and retain employees while providing mentoring and professional development.
- Create development opportunities aligning with organizational goals to support ongoing success.
- Contribute to the greater community through board service or volunteer opportunities.
Strategic Thinking:
- Partner with executives and senior leaders to achieve organizational goals.
- Implement effective strategies for employee engagement, performance management, development, and recruitment.
- Manage compensation and benefits structures to attract and retain top talent.
Results Driven:
- Continuously improve onboarding and offboarding processes to promote business continuity and employee engagement.
- Develop talent and ensure effective performance management practices.
- Align HR strategies with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and track progress.
Business Acumen:
- Understand all areas of business operations and how HR can support them.
- Lead strategically and hold team members accountable for goals and objectives.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Drive diversity and inclusion strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with executives and senior leaders.
- Identify efficiencies and collaborate with departments to implement changes effectively.
- Communicate effectively with all employees.
- Support change management initiatives while maintaining positive employee relationships.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of seven years of HR management experience, including staff leadership.
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of employment law and compliance.
- Strong prioritization and workload management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships.
- Professional appearance and welcoming demeanor.
- Preferred experience in long-term managed care, healthcare, and/or human services.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of adequate insurance.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to occasionally lift items up to 20 pounds.
- Operates in both professional office environments and community settings, including residential locations.
- Regular travel is expected.
