Our client, a leading real estate investment company with an impressive and extensive portfolio of over 25 million square feet across 25 states, is seeking to hire a diligent, detail-oriented Property Accountant. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced, dynamic work environment in the metro west, MA area, where you will be responsible for overseeing the full accounting cycle of a portfolio of properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing, analyzing, and auditing all aspects of the general ledger
Preparing and posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy of financials
Performing monthly GL close and financial statement reviews,
Preparing and assisting with the annual budget process and monthly cash projections
Maintaining lender reserve and escrow accounts
Producing financial reports and other related schedules to meet internal and external reporting requirements
Driving multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
Assisting with external audits, tax preparations, property acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing activities
Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, prior experience in Yardi is highly beneficial
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Argus and Juniper Square software will be considered a plus
A BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
A minimum of two years in accounting, with experience in the real estate industry preferred
