What we are looking for | The Role:
We are seeking an individual who loves supporting sales teams. The right candidate has strong analytical skills, is agile, and can work seamlessly between a fast-paced sales team and an efficiency-focused production operations team. This individual moves quickly to remove roadblocks by doing what needs to be done. The right candidate will provide exceptional service to retail clients, support the sales team in achieving sales targets, and manage regular reporting and analysis of retail performance to support senior management. This role requires strong data analytical skills, communication skills, a proactive approach, and a passion for sales and customer satisfaction.
You will make an impact by:
Reporting to the VP of Wholesale Sales, this role will be responsible for supporting the retail sales team and coordinating with the product operations team in delivering best in class customer service through completing and ensuring correctness of new retail on-boarding, deep understanding of back-end retail systems, owning weekly reporting for senior management, setting up trade-show booths, managing day-to-day communication with retail partners, and partnering across the organization to ensure efficient operational flow. They are well versed and knowledgeable of products and take a proactive approach directly to achieving and surpassing sales targets.
A Day in the Life | Key Responsibilities:
Wholesale Customer Service:
- Works with retail customers/clients and vendors ascertaining their needs and preferences.
- Provide detailed information on products, services, and promotions.
- Assist customers in making product selections and suggest additional items to enhance their purchase.
- Troubleshooting order/client issues
Sales Support:
- Support the sales team by preparing sales documentation, quotes, vendor set-up forms, sales orders, product line sheets, sales presentations, etc.
- Track and update customer records and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Run weekly data analysis by retail channel, by SKU and provide reporting to key stakeholders
Merchandising and Inventory:
- Periodically visit retail locations and ensure the sales floor is well-maintained, organized, and stocked with the latest products.
- Assist in inventory planning
- Support preparations for Tradeshows (pack and ship displays, supplies, samples/orders)
Operational Support:
- Process transactions accurately using the ERP system. (netsuite)
- Partner with operations and finance to address customer inquiries, issues, complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve overall sales goals and maintain a positive working environment.
Other Duties:
- Prep and attend trade show
- Participate in regular training sessions and staff meetings to stay informed about new products, services, and company policies.
- Assist in preparing for and participating in special sales events and promotions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the VP.
To excel in this role, ideal candidate should possess the following experience and qualities:
- Experience: 2-5 Yearsprevious experience in wholesale sales, retail data analysis, or a related field is highly desirable
- Adaptability: Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Customer Service Skills: Personable, motivated, team player, and excellent customer service skills. Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating a strong work ethic, teamwork, and a customer-centric mindset.
