Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join our team. We are a true farm-table kitchen utilizing ingredients from our diverse farm. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation. Knowledge of baking is desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute menus for weekly menu
- Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures
- Manage inventory control to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Monitor food production to maintain consistent quality standards
- Collaborate with farm management to develop new menu items and optimize kitchen operations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or catering setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and food presentation
- Proficient in managing kitchen operations, including inventory control and cost management
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
